Terms of Use and Sale (ToU/ToS)

1. Purpose and description of the service

Glaow is an educational app designed to introduce children to the basics of investing (stocks, ETFs) through a simulation system using fictional money, within the context of virtual companies created by parents. Glaow is not a real investment service. The app does not allow any real financial transaction, does not hold any real financial asset on behalf of users, and does not constitute financial investment advice within the regulatory meaning of the term. No gain or loss simulated in the app has any real monetary value.

1.1 Simulated investment accounts

The app offers the child two types of simulated investment account: the "Free account", open to all of the family's fictional companies and ETFs, withdrawable at any time, on which a realized simulated gain is fictitiously taxed at 30%; and the "Vault account", restricted to fictional ETFs, on which the fictitious tax rate is reduced to 10%, in exchange for withdrawals being locked for 12 months from the first deposit into this account. These rates and time periods may change and, like the rest of the app, have no real monetary value.

2.1 Family account

The account is created by a responsible adult ("the parent"), who provides an email address and a PIN code (playing the same role as a password). The parent is solely responsible for: the confidentiality of their credentials; the creation and supervision of the child profiles linked to their account; the content of the fictional companies they create (see article 5).

2.2 Child profiles

Child profiles are created and managed exclusively by the parent holding the account, via a PIN code. Glaow does not directly collect the child's consent, which is deemed to be given by the responsible parent.

2.3 Minimum age of the account holder

The family account (parent account) can only be created by an adult with legal capacity to enter into a contract.

3.1 Plans offered

Glaow offers a premium subscription on a monthly or yearly basis, with pricing shown in the app and on the App Store / Google Play listings at the time of purchase.

3.2 Payment terms

On mobile (iOS/Android), payments are processed exclusively through Apple's (App Store) or Google's (Google Play) in-app purchase systems. On the web (PWA), payment is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider, via a payment page hosted by Stripe (Stripe Checkout): the publisher does not collect, process, or store any banking data, regardless of the payment channel.

3.3 Automatic renewal

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly), unless canceled by the user at least 24 hours before the renewal date, directly from their App Store or Google Play account settings.

3.4 Cancellation

On mobile, since the subscription is managed through Apple's and Google's in-app purchase systems, only the relevant platform (Apple or Google) is technically able to process cancellation: directly from the app, via the "Manage my subscription" button in the settings, which automatically redirects to the subscription management page of the Apple or Google account; or directly from the App Store or Google Play account settings. On the web (PWA), cancellation is done through the Stripe Billing Portal, accessible from the same "Manage my subscription" button in the settings. In all cases, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no pro-rata refund is issued by the publisher, refund rules being governed by the policy of the relevant payment platform (Apple, Google, or Stripe).

3.5 No immediate right of withdrawal

In accordance with the rules applicable to digital content, the user acknowledges that immediate access to premium content may limit their right of withdrawal, subject to Apple's and Google's own refund policies.

4. Permitted use of the app

The user agrees to use Glaow in accordance with its educational purpose, and in particular undertakes not to: attempt to bypass the app's security mechanisms; use the app for commercial purposes or real financial advice; share their account or credentials with unauthorized third parties.

5. Content created by parents

Parents creating "fictional companies" in the app undertake not to publish any content that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate for a child audience, or that infringes the rights of third parties (trademarks, copyright). The publisher reserves the right to remove any non-compliant content and to suspend the account concerned, without notice, in the event of a serious breach.

6. Intellectual property

All elements of the app (design, text, code, educational content, logo, the name "Glaow") are the exclusive property of the publisher or its licensors. Any unauthorized reproduction, representation, or use is prohibited. Content created by users (names of fictional companies, etc.) remains their property, but the user grants the publisher a right of use necessary for the operation of the service.

7.1 Service availability

The publisher strives to ensure the availability of the app, without guaranteeing continuous, uninterrupted access (maintenance, technical failure, force majeure).

7.2 Limitation of liability

The publisher cannot be held liable for: any real investment decision a user might make outside the app, based on what they learned there; any indirect damage resulting from use of the app; content created by parents as part of the fictional companies.

7.3 Educational nature of the service

Glaow is a fun financial education tool. It does not replace professional financial advice, and the publisher cannot be held liable for real financial decisions made by users.

8. Data protection

The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, accessible from the app's settings, which forms an integral part of these Terms of Use and Sale.

9. Account suspension and termination

The publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account, without notice, in the event of: a breach of these Terms of Use and Sale; fraudulent or abusive use of the app; non-payment of the subscription. The user can delete their account at any time, following the procedure described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

The publisher reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use and Sale at any time. Users will be informed of any substantial change via the app. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms of Use and Sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, the courts within the jurisdiction of the publisher's registered office shall have sole jurisdiction.
